Delight shines on the faces of the representatives of teachers from schools in Badung Regency and Denpasar City, Bali, who participated in a child-friendly library program with Yayasan Literasi Anak Indonesia (YLAI). Accompanied by Fourgelina, the program manager of YLAI, they were very excited to attend the event “Enhancing Reading Interest of Indonesian Students” organized by Google.org with Room to Read, Ini Budi and TBP in Jakarta, December 14, 2017. This full-day event provides new experience for teachers in improving students’ reading culture in their own schools. Learning how to tell stories and make videos from books that had been read, as well as sharing experiences and innovations in improving reading interest made the full day event went smoothly. The enthusiasm and motivation of the teachers were visible when they were given a task to make videos from books they had read and to practice sound techniques when telling stories. Keep up the spirit, fellow teachers, together we can reach the dream of increasing reading interest and reading habits of our students.
